In the 1890's, more than 100 years ago, Mrs M was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
Surgery was often fatal then and there were no anaesthetics, pain killers or anti-biotics like today. Also her best friend had died during a similar operation.
Regardless of these facts she was too poor to be able to have treatment, and after the diagnosis returned to the logging camp where her husband worked.
An Indian man gave her some herbal tea to drink, and later when she was stronger taught her how to make it herself.

1922
As an old lady Mrs M. was admitted to hospital.
When the senior ward nurse Rene Caisse saw her scars she asked what had caused them, thinking it had been a fire. Mrs M. told her of the cancer that had broken through her breast 30 years previously, and the Indian medicine man's tea that had cured it. She also told Rene Caisse the formula she had used. Nurse Caisse kept the formula, unused, for another 2 years, but then her world was about to change forever.

1924
Nurse Caisse's aunty is diagnosed with terminal cancer, and her doctor agrees to let Caisse try the herbal tea on her. It was so successful that they developed an injection of one of the herbs with the other 3 taken as a tea. This was the start of the story of how Nurse Caisse became the greatest healer of cancer patients mainly from the 1920's to 1940, but to some selected patients through to the 1970's..
