Diagnosis

Basal cell carcinoma of the right cheek.

Diagnosis proved by biopsy.

No X-ray or other treatment.

Patient reported small open lesion on cheek had been present for many months.

4.1959 Biopsy in April, positive.

Aug 1959 First treatment

Aug 1959 After four treatments orally and intramuscularly, Lesion was observed to change colour from red to pale pink and to have markedly reduced in size. Central ulcer observed to be disappearing.

Sept 1959 Treatment continued and is completely healed and only small scar remains where biopsy incision was made.
