| Esophigal (or Oesophigal) cancer is one the the more serious cancers, where less than 1 in 5 (18%) survive for 5+ years.
In 1990 345,000 died from this disease. By 2012 there were 456,000 new cases that year and 400,000 deaths. More than half the deaths for Esophagal Cancer occur in China, and men are 3 times more likely to get it than women. The Esophagus is the food/liquid pipe that links your mouth and stomach. | |
